TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in San Diego, California, 92123 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 full recent years in Pediatric ICU (PICU, CTICU, Critical Care Float Pool) License: California License required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Pediatric ICU experience with a 15-bed minimum - Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, CVP monitoring, and EKGs Job Description: - This is a critical care float pool position requiring pediatric ICU experience. - The nurse must be willing to get a flu shot when requested. - This role involves floating to other units outside of critical care, including the Emergency Department. - Care for patients across all age ranges and levels of acuity is required. - The patient population includes high acuity cases such as injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, and post-op cardiac surgical care, including neurosurgery. - The ability to work with trauma, hematology/oncology, and diabetic ketoacidosis cases is essential. - The nurse will work variable shifts and is expected to work 2 out of 3 holidays, with time off requests limited to a maximum of 6 days. - Travel compliance requires modules to be completed prior to start; these are non-billable and do not count towards orientation hours. 26123306EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
