Description:Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, energetic and knowledgeable Optician to join our growing and thriving Ophthalmology/Optometry practice.Our practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology, optometry, optical and plastic surgery services. We are a high volume, fast paced practice offering competitive pay and benefits.
Job Responsibilities:

• Perform duties in the optical department and provide good customer experience
• Perform all billing efforts of insurance plans for billable services/products in the vision plans
• Learn NextGen Optical Management software and perform routine tasks such as sales, billing and inventory
• Manage product inventory and report discrepancies immediately to your manager
• Saturday coverage in the Optical Dept. as needed
• Assist with marketing plans within the Optical DepartmentPM22Requirements:Required Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of vision insurance (EYEMED, VSP, MES & Spectera)

  • Management or leadership skills a plusExperience:
    • Minimum of 3 years dispensing optician experience
    • NextGen software preferred
    • ABO/NCLE preferred
