Job Description:

Assists team leadership in supervising meat Team Members and ensuring smooth day-to-day department operation. Oversees compelling meat displays. Provides courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members. Maintains store Standard Operating Procedures. Supports WFM core values and goals, promotes national, regional, and store programs, and adheres to health and safety regulations.

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Meat Team Members.
• Trains Team Members to build a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Resolves difficult customer situations.
• Ensures necessary breaks are given.
• Makes sure temp, sweep, and sanitation logs are completed.
• Sets and achieves retail execution standards.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and exceptional morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs.
• Selects, trains, and mentors Team Members.
• Communicates Team Member safety and security standards.
• Provides performance evaluations.
• Communicates WFM vision and goals.

    • 12+ months retail experience.
      
      • Lifts 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
      • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
      • Ability to handle knives and cutting equipment.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
